Selected from nearly 13,000 submissions, our company was chosen as an Official Honoree in the real estate website category in the 20th Annual Webby Awards—the “Internet’s highest honor,” according to The New York Times. This prestigious recognition honored us for our cutting-edge, award-winning new website, which launched in 2015.
Presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), The Webby Awards is the global leader when it comes to honoring Internet excellence. IADAS is comprised of multiple web industry experts including Tumblr founder David Karp, Executive Creative Director at Refinery29 Piera Gelardi, musicians Questlove and Grimes, Head of Fashion Partnerships at Instagram Eva Chen, Twitter co-founder Biz Stone, late night television host Jimmy Kimmel and creator of the .gif file format Steve Wilhite. Each year, this group of established technology pros helps to determine the nominations.
For the 2016 awards, it was none other than our premier company that was chosen in the real estate website category, making us the only residential real estate brokerage named. As a selected Official Honoree, we were part of the top 20% of all entries, which came in abundant force from all across the globe.
“We are constantly impressed by the extent of creativity showcased by our Webby Honorees,” David-Michel Davies, Executive Director of The Webby Awards, expressed to our firm. “Your work continues to further the scope of innovation, setting the standard of excellence on the Internet.”
The recognition emerged after our company spent 18 months completely redesigning our website, which received tremendous feedback immediately upon launch. Trusted real estate news source REAL Trends described our site as one of its “personal favorite websites with amazing integration of live listings on the homepage,” deeming williampitt.com as the #1 real estate site nationally in the category of Best Design, #3 in Best Mobile Experience, #3 in Best Neighborhood Pages, and #5 in Best Overall Real Estate Website.
Standout features of the new williampitt.com include property video clips on the home page, full-bleed high-resolution photography, site customization according to the user’s location, and detailed community information such as accessibility to area schools and precise commute times to Manhattan. Visitors can also delve into the site’s international side, choosing from 19 languages and converting prices into more than 50 currencies.
“We set out to create a website that offers an unparalleled experience in the real estate industry. The Webbys recognition along with our other recent accolades is a wonderful acknowledgement of that mission,” said Chief Operating Officer Vin Socci. “Our site not only delivers the best possible presentation for our listings, but also provides a totally unique user experience that is custom tailored to each individual real estate consumer.”
This website revamp was completed in tandem with the re-launch of Agent Connect, our company’s online platform and internal intranet. This sales associate resource provides daily services from the ability to quickly edit listings, manage leads, download or order marketing materials, and enroll in online training courses. Coinciding with the times, the helpful tool is now available across all devices, aiming to make the agent experience as simple and convenient as possible.
“This is an honor that belongs to our entire team,” said our President and CEO Paul Breunich. “I am so proud of our company for achieving the Official Honoree designation from The Webby Awards, a testament to all of the hard work we have put into our new web platform.”
