Sotheby’s New York Auction House Exhibits Floral Jewelry

May flowers are in bloom at Sotheby’s New York.

Designed as a rose, the petals are 18 karat textured gold.

 

Gold and Diamond Rose Clip-Brooch, David Webb

$48,000 USD

Also designed as a rose, the petals and leaves are pavé-set with numerous round, 16.5 carat diamonds. The end of the stem is accented by a pear-shaped diamond.

Pair of Silver-Topped Gold and Diamond Earclips

$78,000 USD

The circa-1880 earclips center on a cluster of 14 carat old European-cut diamonds, surrounded by undulating petals further set with diamonds.

Of floral design, set throughout with old mine and rose-cut 15 carat diamonds, highlighted with round and cushion-cut demantoid garnets.

Centering a cushion-cut diamond weighing 2.37 carats, within a frame of turquoise cabochons, further accented with round diamonds.

Of floral design, composed of seven flowerheads centering old European and old mine-cut diamonds, framed by half-pearls.
