In the western part of Connecticut lies Greater Danbury, which offers plenty of reasons for potential residents to move to this metropolitan area near the Housatonic River. With easy access to major cities and transportation hubs in the Northeast, it’s no wonder why so many people call this part of the Nutmeg State home. After traveling around 80 miles to the south you will find yourself in New York City. Jump on Interstate 84 and go 40 miles to the east and you’ll arrive in the state’s capital, Hartford. Many of the properties we will look at today are located in towns that offer a charming blend of rural country areas, suburban neighborhoods and historic districts.
