William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty’s ‘Sundays at Sotheby’s’ Series Continues with Artist Reception

Rowayton, Conn. (May 24, 2018) — William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty announced today that the firm’s Rowayton brokerage will be hosting an artist reception as part of the “Sunday’s at Sotheby’s” series, a monthly program in which the office welcomes new art to display in its office. The reception is typically held on the first Sunday of each month. Artist Britt Bair will introduce her work on Sunday, June 3rd from 4-6 p.m.

Bair lives in Rowayton and is well-known in the area for her work in a variety of mediums such as oil, acrylic and watercolor painting among others. She has painted in Italy, Canada, Block Island and throughout New England, but spends most of her time painting in Connecticut. Bair is a member of the Rowayton Arts Center, New Canaan Art Center and the Darien Art Center. Her work can be found in private collections from California to New York. She is also the co-founder and co-president of Wilson Avenue Art Lofts, a group of 16 artists in 15 studios and a gallery space at 225 Wilson Avenue in South Norwalk.

During the June 3rd reception, which is open to the public, the Rowayton office will showcase a display of Bair’s paintings. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will also be served in a casual setting with opportunities to talk with Bair and discuss her work. The art will be on display all month.

“Last month we hosted our first ‘Sunday’s at Sotheby’s’ since making some improvements to our office, and it was a huge success,” said Darien/Rowayton agent Molly Crosland, who spearheads many of the brokerage’s artist series. “We are thrilled to welcome a very talented artist with local ties to the Rowayton community and Fairfield County. Britt’s work is excellent and we can’t wait to showcase it in our office throughout June.”
