Guilford, Conn. – May 6, 2019 – William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty announced today that the firm represented the buyer in the highest sale of 2019 to date at The Residences at 66 High Street, the largest condo development project on the Eastern Connecticut Shoreline. The transaction is also the second-highest sale at the development since the project launched in 2016.
Margaret Muir and Sue Knapp of the company’s Madison and Guilford brokerages, respectively, were the agents involved in the sale of Unit #39 which closed at $1,985,275. The buyer they represented was originally introduced to the project in its early stages.
The development’s highest sale closed in 2017. The firm’s Guilford office represented the $2,258,000 sale of Units 24 & 25.

The Residences at 66 High Street is a full renovation of a 130-year-old mill that preserves the building’s historic character. The project was recognized in 2016 with the Home Building Industry (HOBI) Awards’ “Project of the Year,” one of the HOBI’s “Grand Awards” and the highest honor the organization bestows on new developments.
The site in downtown Guilford has had many roles, each contributing differently to the vitality of the town. The building was once one of the largest wheel manufacturers in the country, and later, a factory that employed women to produce ball bearings for military vehicles in World War II.
