New Canaan, Conn. (April 17, 2020) — William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty today announced that Carolyn Fugere will assume the role of Brokerage Manager for the firm’s brokerage in New Canaan, Conn. Fugere previously led the firm’s operations in Larchmont, N.Y., Litchfield County, Conn., and the Berkshires, Mass., building and managing some of the most accomplished real estate sales teams in those markets.
Fugere has most recently served as Vice President of Strategic Growth, and she will continue with many of the responsibilities of that position even as she returns to brokerage management. Those duties include overseeing growth initiatives from recruitment to agent and staff training through the company’s exclusive elite real estate training facility, the Imagine Lab. There, her primary purpose is to elevate the firm and its agent base by advocating continuous learning at every level, providing courses to ensure an in-depth understanding of real estate sales skills, marketing, social media, customer service and sales psychology.
Fugere brings nearly 20 years of expertise in managing, marketing and selling in suburban, urban and rural markets. Her skill set extends to acquisitions, large team affiliations and opening brokerages in new markets.
The firm experienced significant growth in the markets where Fugere oversaw operations in her prior managerial roles. Under her leadership, the Larchmont brokerage witnessed an increase in the average sale price of transactions in which it participated for four consecutive years, while increasing its market share in the Mamaroneck school district in the same period. During her time in Litchfield County, the firm saw sales volume grow at a rate that far exceeded the general market growth and became the largest brokerage in total dollars and units county-wide.
Fugere is a two-time William Pitt-Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s International Realty Manager of the Year award recipient, chosen from among 16 brokerage managers for the honor.
In the past year she was instrumental in introducing to the company “Ninja Selling,” a nationwide training program for real estate agents designed to teach an approach wholly focused on building relationships, listening to the customer and helping them achieve their goals. Graduates of Ninja Selling have reported increased sales while generating predicable results and a continuous flow of customers through using the system. To date, the firm has seen 250 of its agents complete the program.
“Carolyn brings an incredible track record of success, and a reputation among her peers as an inspirational and powerful motivator,” said Paul Breunich, President and CEO of William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty. “She is exceptionally skilled at attracting and developing talent, an outstanding leader in increasing productivity, and a superb role model for agents. I am so pleased to welcome her back to our brokerage management team.”
