I had the great fortune working with her as my realtor to purchase a home in Guilford, sell a home in Guilford, rent a condo in Madison and finally purchase a condo in Milford. I have, through those years, had experiences with other realtors and this is what sets Laurie apart: She is a no- nonsense, tireless, honest realtor who will represent you and your best interest. If you are looking for a home, she will prepare tours to homes and condos seamlessly and professionally. She will continue to send things your way once she knows what you are looking for - she is your eyes for all new listings, if you've exhausted what's out there so far. When I purchased my home, she was at every inspection... even the septic tank inspection and pump out because I could not be there. She'll help you negotiate a fair price for issues that come up after the inspection. She negotiated a couple thousand dollars off the purchase price when I bough my first home. She's not out there for the quick purchase or sell; she wants you to truly be happy with your purchase, for the sale to be fair, and she will keep looking if those two things do not intersect. When I was next selling my home, she advertised, created amazing photos - highlighting what made my home unique. She gave it as much exposure as possible through the listing, open houses, realtor walk through (not sure of official name of this) and was at every (yes EVERY) showing. She gave me feedback and really helped me sell my home without selling myself short. 4 years ago, when I wanted to purchase again, we looked at 20-30 homes and condos from Madison to Milford over a 12-15 period, before I ended up buying a place that I absolutely love. I had a couple of things that I wanted in my new home and was not in a rush to buy, so I had the luxury of waiting until the perfect place came on the market- and it did! Laurie also found me an adorable rental in Madison to hunker down while I continued to work full time and search for my new home. I have zero reservations about recommending Laurie as a realtor. To put things in perspective, our home in San Francisco sold for $1.6 million while the home in Madison we purchased was $600,000. Laurie worked far harder and on our behalf for a $600,000 home than our San Francisco agent did for a $1.6 million home! The latter point is most significant. Throughout our entire experience with Laurie, we always felt as though Laurie was working with us and for us and never did we feel that Laurie was simply trying to get a deal closed. Quite the contrary with our experience with our other agent where we did not get the same level of personal attention and follow through and we always felt as though our agent” was simply trying to get a deal done for her own financial gain. My wife and I first met Laurie at an open house one Sunday afternoon in the early summer of 2016. We were serious buyers and communicated our desire to purchase a beach home. On Monday morning, we requested a second look at the home and asked if she could meet us at 5:00 pm. She agreed. After our second look we sat down together and Laurie proved to be an extremely knowledgeable and experienced realtor. She was very easy to talk with and she always maintained a professional dialogue with us. She was representing the seller and we had no realtor. We asked if she would represent us. She outlined for us why some people would prefer a different arrangement. We understood the complexity of one realtor handling both ends of the negotiations but we felt so very comfortable with her we didn’t hesitate to ask her to represent us. She then worked with us on all of the online paperwork during both the negotiations, the submittal of an offer and the completion of the contract. We were elated on Wednesday of that week that our offer was accepted. She continued to work with us and our mortgage company, arranged for three different inspectors to meet with us and was always in contact with us until we got our mortgage and closing date finalized.
