I am originally from an Indiana farm community and after college worked in San Francisco as the first female institutional bond salesperson. I later transferred to New York and continued in that capacity eventually leaving that business to devote my time to my family. I bought a weekend home in Kent in 1984 and became a fulltime resident shortly after in order to enjoy the great quality of life that the Northwest Corner offers. I am the mother of four children all of whom have benefited from being a part of the Kent community.
Because of my concern for children, I served as a member of the board of trustees for the Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse in Poughkeepsie, New York. I was privileged to organize the Center’s live and silent auctions where I raised considerable sums for the organization. I also acted in the same capacity for the Indian Mountain School in Lakeville, Connecticut and the Maplebrook School in Amenia, New York.
In 2016 I had the honor of being elected to the position of Registrar of Voter’s in Kent where I served for 3 years.
After I moved to Kent, I became interested in real estate and my husband and I built spec houses as well as building our own home. In my work as a real estate agent and former New Yorker I particularly enjoy introducing city folk to the joys of part-time and full-time country living. My goal is to find the right property for my clients and I take satisfaction from the fact that my former clients have thanked me for helping them find exactly the right place. I am equally dedicated to local residents who are looking to buy or sell a property.
