Andrea Markowitz first visited me at my home in Scarsdale, NY about 15 years ago.  Every year since then I would receive her calendar at holiday time as a reminder that she was still a realtor -- always willing to help in any way, should we want her advice re selling, moving, contacts, etc. We finally decided to downsize last year and Andrea was our first choice to list with. I am writing this letter to express my appreciation to your agent Andrea Markowitz for her lead role in the effort.   From our first meeting, it was clear she would be my advocate. This was my first experience selling a house so it was important to be working with someone I trusted and felt comfortable with. At every turn she was proactive and helpful, even as we had to tackle some unanticipated projects that were new experiences for both of us. She was always available for consultation (while also dealing with some major personal misfortunes), and was a great resource for introducing me to other people necessary to get the work done and helping to coordinate all the pieces. She kept me (and them) on track and on schedule for my own good, and in a changing marketplace where we had to continuously reevaluate our goals and the compromises necessary to achieve them, she was attentive and informative but always ultimately deferred to my wishes.  My ultimate conclusion after this experience is that this is a difficult (and sometimes lengthy) endeavor under the best of circumstances, and that there is no substitute for a warm, friendly and expert partner to guide you happily to the other side. I feel fortunate that I had Andrea to be that person, gaining a new friend in the process, and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for representation in buying or selling a residence in the area. 

Andrea was our agent for the sale of our coop and the purchase of our home. Our coop was an extremely tough sell in this market and while it took sometime Andrea was constantly working to keep our property in the forefront of people's searches and worked any angle possible from Networking to Craigslist. We had several offers fall through due to buyer funding issues but each time Andrea stayed in contact with all parties involved to give the deal any possible chance of success. It took some time but thanks to her guidance and perseverance we got to the table. When we looked to immediately buy after sale and Andrea worked around our schedule to show us houses. She did a great job of suggesting and showing us houses we saw online. Andrea had a great line the process that sums up the type of agent she is; "it's my job to manage your expectations." She certainly did that while providing valuable insight.I'm sure you've heard about the nightmare we had purchasing our home. It was 5 months from signed contract till closing. Andrea, the entire did everything possible to get us to closing. She did this even though we were at times emotional and angry about the situation. I truly believe she kept the deal alive by again working with all parties involved including the town building department. It was great having Andrea in our corner, when it seemed like things would go south on the house we wanted. The bottom line is it doesn't just feel like we got a real estate agent, we found a friend who always kept our best interests in mind. She's the type of real estate agent you should never second guess having perspective clients meet with. After all we didn't specifically get referred to Andrea, she was "assigned" to meet with us, and for that we are thankful.

We have been working with Andrea for the past three years and are extreamly impressed with her. It took us almost three years to find our dream house. During this period, Andrea was exceptionally helpful, informative and patient. In addition, her professionalism guided us through the complexity of the transactions smoothly in both buying and selling our houses.

And she did this in a very short time, in order to put the house on the market at the best moment. Andrea's wish to be at the home for each showing indicated again her concern that each prospective buyer (and their agent) would see the important features of our home. Andrea had familiarized herself with every detail, and we felt she was truly representing us in the process.Another aspect we appreciated was Andrea's continual and always pleasnat contatct with us ⎼ whether by phone of in person. She kept us informed at all times, and guided us when we had several offers. We never felt any pressure from her, and found her warmth and kindness an added asset. Andrea's willingness at the end of the process to check the house, to arraanged for all the details of the closing, and to represent us, with our lawyer, at the closing, again showed her professionalism and care.Dr. Cherbuliez and I will be pleased to recommend friends and acquaintenced to Andrea, for their purchase or sale of a home. She was very diligent about meeting with any potential buyers, and she followed up with any interested buyers. The couple who finally bought the condominium was very difficult to work with, and their agent was very demanding. She made concessions when it made sense and firmly refused when the requests were unreasonable. She worked day and night and weekends on closing the sales for many weeks.
