Making Dream Homes Come True

It was an exciting day for two new Westchester County homeowners, who are now officially Rye residents thanks to the help of our very own Rye agent Julia Brasesco, and the brilliant home finding and renovation expertise of the Property Brothers! A beautiful Colonial home with lots of potential located in the village of Rye Brook, N.Y., was chosen to be featured as a “dream home” on an episode of the popular HGTV show. The lucky couple that purchased the residence for a price of $990,000, were amazed by its transformation, which was revealed during a recent filming of the property. The home’s renovated kitchen, dining room and family room are set to air in the spring of 2016.

Property Brothers” is a one hour reality show in which twin brothers Jonathan and Drew Scott help home buyers find, purchase and transform “fixer-uppers” into dream homes, while maintaining a strict budget. Each episode begins with the brothers showcasing a home that features everything on the future homeowner’s wish list, eventually leading them to homes that are more in their price range, but still have great potential to become their dream home.

Originally built in 1969, this charming Colonial residence includes four spacious bedrooms with hardwood flooring, as well as a kitchen that features granite counters and a breakfast area, which neighbors a lovely family room. Continuing on, one will find large bay windows overlooking the property’s pristine grounds and gardens in the residence’s living room, in addition to a formal dining room perfect for entertaining guests. The Property Brothers’ stunning renovations are present in all three of these impressive main-level spaces.

Key Ring“The reveal of the Property Brothers’ work was truly sensational,” said Brasesco, who has previously also worked with HGTV for an episode of “House Hunters Renovation.” “The spectacular transformation of all three of these rooms made this home even more brilliant, adding to its already inviting atmosphere in the wonderful Westchester County neighborhood of Rye Brook. I am so excited for the buyers, who are now most definitely living in their dream home.”
