Tyler O' Hazo, a lifelong resident of Litchfield County, is an expert in the analysis and valuation of antique, equestrian, and water influence as well as architecturally-significant homes from within the hills of western Connecticut – arguably one of the most complex real estate markets on the eastern seaboard.
A University of Connecticut graduate, Tyler earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Considering the nature of his degree, his intrinsic desire for collaborating with people, and his exposure to his parent’s profession, it was clear that Tyler would pursue a career as a Licensed Residential Real Estate Appraiser. Tyler later advanced to a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser where he earned the credentials to sponsor, train, and manage a large staff of licensed real estate appraisers.
As the previous Managing Partner of O'Hazo Appraisal Services, LLC., Tyler has more than 20 years’ of highly specialized experience in the valuation of a wide variety of property types in Litchfield and Fairfield Counties. Litchfield County is notable for its scenic appeal and vintage, colonial style dwellings. Attributable to its proximity to New York City, many homes within this incredibly unique area are utilized as secondary homes, many by renowned members of the entertainment industry, art community, entrepreneurs, dignitaries, and international business leaders.
With previous experience assisting clientele in appraisal projects designed for financial reporting, probate, tax assessment appeal, land donation, consulting, municipal data collection, and complex litigation, Tyler has expanded his real estate services to include the representation of buyers and sellers with a direct approach that is balanced with patience, integrity and enthusiasm. Earning recognition as a member of the appraisal roster for the Federal Housing Authority as well as the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Tyler is also honored to assist members of the Armed Forces through his role as designated appraiser for the Department of Veterans Affairs.
An active community member, Tyler volunteers for Friends of Futbol International, a nonprofit organization that provides funds and support to assist young soccer players in undeveloped areas all over the world. Additionally, Tyler has been appointed to the Washington Conservation Commission, is a member of the Litchfield County Blues Soccer Team within the SASL Soccer League and a supporting member of numerous local land trust organizations.
