Tina began her career as a professional photographer in New York City - working with celebrity chefs including Giada DeLaurentiis, Rachael Ray and Mario Batali, and for commercial clients such as Martha Stewart Living, Family Circle, This Old House and Bed, Bath & Beyond. She then pivoted and decided to pursue a career in real estate. With her eye for detail and creative vision, it seemed like a very natural next step.
"In both careers, communication is key…Interpreting an art director’s vision for a campaign or photoshoot is very much like interpreting a buyer’s vision when finding the perfect home. For sellers, staging, preparing and photographing a home to look its best is crucial in today’s market. Both careers also have many variables to make it all come together - a magazine story or closing a real estate deal.”
Tina brings experience and professionalism - working and thriving in high pressure environments and seeing projects through to the end with ease and enthusiasm.
“‘What I love most about my work is introducing newcomers to Connecticut,’ says Tina. ‘I discovered first hand what a wonderful place it is 17 years ago. I love that without traveling far, you can really find it all: beaches, rivers, boating, bucolic farms, great restaurants, art museums, state parks with hiking trails and of course it’s all in proximity to New York and Boston — just a train ride away.’”
As a way to further connect and provide value to her clients, Tina founded three unique Facebook groups: "Saybrook and Shoreline Events" which shares and highlights local events to keep the community informed, "Saybrook and Shoreline Business" which promotes local businesses and “The Shoreline Home” where she shares real estate tips and ideas for home improvements and gardening. It’s also a fabulous place to showcase her unique property offerings!
Tina earned a Bachelor’s Degree in both Visual Arts and German from Rutgers University in New Jersey - which promoted an invaluable opportunity to live and study in both Constance and Berlin, Germany. Spending this time living internationally is part of why she loves being a part of such a stellar global community of agents throughout the Sotheby’s International Realty network.
A supporter of the arts and culture, she and her family are members of the Florence Griswold Museum, Connecticut River Museum, Old Saybrook Historical Society. She also sits on the Architectural Review Board of Old Saybrook. Tina is active in the Old Saybrook school system and a promoter of local businesses and shops. She has volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, where she learned and practiced the art of hanging drywall.
Impressively, Tina received the “Rookie of the Year Award” from William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty for selling the most units for a new agent company-wide. Her proven track record of success has continued since - earning Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards for sales volume in subsequent years.
