John Sniffen

Senior Real Estate Salesperson

Senior Sales Associate John Sniffen has been a successful Realtor in the greater Litchfield County residential real estate market for over 20 years.  John specializes in all facets of the residential real estate market including primary and weekend homes -- from cottages to luxury estates, equestrian properties to lakefront homes. As a lifelong resident of Litchfield County he is intimately familiar with the attributes that make each town unique and special and uses that knowledge to identify the perfect community and home based on the distinctive needs of each customer.

John’s success in real estate can be attributed to his keen focus on the needs of his customers, his likeable personality that puts his customers at ease and his exceptional attention to detail.  Given his tenure in the industry, he has developed an integral network of relationships with other agents, attorneys and customer service providers.  John uses this refined network effortlessly thereby allowing his customers to enjoy a seamless, stress free buying experience. I feel particularly proud to be a part of William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty as it provides its agents with the most comprehensive selling tools and gives its clients unmatched worldwide marketing support .

John lives in Litchfield, along with his wife and two sons, and has a small farm where he raises an assortment of livestock including chickens, pigs and beef cattle, as well as tending to a substantial garden. This experience is particularly rewarding because as he has watched his sons grow up he has been able to watch them understand and love the farm-to-table process. John and his family are very active participants and supporters of the Litchfield County 4-H. John also volunteers with other organizations such as the Boy Scouts of America and the Lions Club of Litchfield. While John is very proud to be a farmer of sorts he also maintains a second home in Manhattan which keeps him in touch with what is going on in mainstream America.
