Janet Peckinpaugh uses her three decades of experience as an award winning TV reporter and news anchor to help her clients. After retiring from NBC-CT in 2007, she started a P.R. and Marketing business. Missing her daily interaction with people, she got her real estate license and began helping clients along the Shoreline.
Her interest in real estate started early: Janet learned from her parents who invested in commercial and residential properties in Florida, Ohio and Indiana.
A graduate of Indiana University, Janet worked in Miami as a flight attendent for National Airlines, in Washington, D. C. as an aide to a U-S Senator before starting her television career in Richmond, VA. In 1984 she moved to CT for an evening anchor position at WTNH-TV. She has also worked as a reporter and anchor at WFSB-TV and NBC-CT.
Janet recently moved to Madison from Essex. For more than 7 years she was Chair of the Essex Economic Development Commission, on the Board of Governors at the Essex Yacht Club where she was the Entertainment Chair and also sat on the Communications Committee. Today she is a Commissioner on Planning and Zoning in Madison. Janet has held seats on numerous charity boards throughout her many years in Connecticut. Giving back is part of her core belief. Janet donates a portion of each real estate transaction to the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, www.holeinthewallgang.org. The organization is dedicated to providing a "different kind of healing" to seriously ill children and their families.
If you have a home to sell or want to look for a new one, Janet will happily help you navigate the often, bumpy waters. Please call her today at 860.985.3659.
