Don works with his wife, Kathy, The Shannehan Team, with over 36 years of experience in real estate sales. This gives you, as a client, rapid responses to questions, meetings, showings, open houses, inspections, negotiations and whatever comes along during the overall experience. The Shannehan's had lived in Essex for more than 20 years enjoying the lifestyle and community involvement that earned Essex as one of " America's Best Small Cities". Don is the "Secret Keeper" of Donnie's Down Home BBQ Sauce and Spice Rub, LLC.. Don has been the past Vice Commodore of the Essex Corinthian Yacht Club and also a current member of the Pettipaug Yacht Club. Previously he was a Board Member of the Old Lyme Country Club. Don is a former member of the Executive Board of the Essex Board of Trade and the Executive Board of The Essex Historical Society. He is also the Coordinator of the USMC Toys4Tots Program at our Essex and Old Lyme Offices.

Don is a graduate of Georgia State University, and a proud Vietnam Veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
