Litchfield County, Conn. – March 1, 2017 – William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty announced today that Ira Goldspiel was the company’s top producing agent in sales volume company-wide in 2016, and was additionally number one in both sales volume and unit sales for the company’s four Litchfield Hills, Conn., brokerages—an achievement he has reached consistently for five years in a row now.
The accomplishment comes just as Goldspiel celebrates his 15-year anniversary with the firm, which is marked this month.
“Ira has been a tremendous asset to our Litchfield Hills team, as well as the entire company and local community,” said Kristine Newell, manager of William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty’s Litchfield County brokerages. “His unique approach, dedication and passion for the area are present in everything that he does. I would like to thank Ira for 15 years of incredible service, and congratulate him on his continued success. We are humbled and so very fortunate to have him on our team.”
After a successful career in New York City fashion and retail, Goldspiel made Litchfield County, Conn., his permanent place of residency in 2002. He immediately immersed himself in the region’s rich culture and community, purchasing and operating the award-winning Inn at Kent Falls, which spurred the start of his real estate career. Goldspiel has since formed the real estate team The Goldspiel Group with his partner, Howard Schissler.
Goldspiel’s approach is to assess the needs of each listing to determine what resources he will apply to best market, show and sell a home. He then deploys his resources to create a team with an effective marketing strategy. Goldspiel uses professional stagers, photographers and writers, and enlists the firm’s corporate public relations and marketing staff.
Notably, Goldspiel participated in three record sales for Litchfield County in 2016. He represented the buyer in the $875,000 sale of 101 Dibble Hill in Cornwall, with Washington Depot agent Sharon McGuire representing the seller; he represented the buyer along with Washington Depot agent Fred Bond in the $1,450,000 sale of 251 Watertown Road in Morris, with Washington Depot agent Rick Distel representing the seller; and he had both sides in the highest 2016 land sale in the town of Winchester, for $1,975,000 on Grantville Road.
