A unique collection of homes along the streets of Rye are opening their doors once again for the 33rd Rye House Tour this Friday, May 20th from 9 AM until 3 PM. This beloved town tradition was created to raise funds for the Parents’ Organization of Rye High School (RHSPO), a non-profit organization that supports innovative academic programs, classroom enhancements, technology advancements and faculty professional development. At this year’s tour, dedicated team members from our Westchester County brokerages will serve as volunteer guides at the one and only waterfront home included en route—an impeccable estate for sale on Grace Church Street, which is represented by Rye agent Christy Murphy, and offered at $8,000,000.
During the event, participants will have the opportunity to visit a total of five beautiful residences, each with its own distinct style and homeowner’s touch. The afternoon will conclude with a waterfront luncheon and boutique at Manursing Island Club, a private, family-oriented club located in one of the most picturesque spots on the Long Island Sound.
350 Grace Church Street is a historic Victorian built in 1850. The lovingly renovated home rests on over an acre of land set atop a hill overlooking Kirby Mill Pond, the Long Island Sound and beyond. With its grand entry, high ceilings, elevator, his and hers baths and dressing areas, separate guest quarters, lush, professionally landscaped grounds, pool and so much more, visitors of this residential paradise will be in awe.
“I like to call this residence ‘The House That Gives Back,’” said Murphy, as she explained the home’s past participation in the Rye Historical Society tour. “The owners have been very generous in allowing visitors to enter their home over the years, and this time, are especially thrilled to help raise money for such a great cause. The Rye House Tour is a wonderful annual event, and I hope to help make this year even more successful than the last.”
