Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s International Realty Helps to Raise Over $33,500 for My Sisters’ Place to Fight Domestic Violence

Rye, N.Y. (October 2, 2015) — Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s International Realty announced today that the company recently held a fund-raising event resulting in more than $33,500 to be donated to My Sisters’ Place, a Westchester County-based organization that works to fight domestic violence. The company participated in a similar event last fall and raised over $30,000.

The event, “A Taste of Rye,” was a restaurant crawl allowing participants to “sip, snack and stroll” across nine different Rye restaurants, including Ruby’s Oyster Bar, Morgan’s Fish House, Encore, Town Dock, Rye Bar & Grill, Fogama, Aurora, Frankie & Johnnie’s Steakhouse, and Wine at Five, which offered a wine tasting.

Tickets to the event were sold for $50, and additional funds were raised through a company donation as well as a company-held silent auction featuring items provided by local Rye merchants. Some of the standout items included four tickets to a New York Giants game with a parking pass, as well as a signed jersey from wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

All money raised will go directly to My Sisters’ Place Residential Centers in support of its efforts to end domestic violence by helping victims while focusing on community education and prevention. My Sisters’ Place also combats human trafficking throughout Westchester County, and offers advocacy, shelter and legal services to those in need.
